Exercise Rehabilitation
Exercise Physiology for health or injury rehabilitation and management
For if you are currently managing a health condition, niggle, recovering from an injury or have had surgery and need support and advice in rehabilitating to return to riding and racing.
Appointments are set as required based on your specific injury recovery timeline, level of support and progression required. An initial consultation will be required as a starting point, and a number of sessions may be required to re-assess and progress your rehabilitation program in order to return to riding.
If required, you can be transitioned into a performance and strength coaching program focused on strength training incorporating ongoing consideration for your injury as you return to full strength for riding and racing.

Initial Consultation
To get started in supporting you with rehabilitating an injury, niggle or post-surgery, I conduct an initial consultation in order to provide you with a suitable rehabilitation program and management plan. Initial consultations can be in person or online via zoom depending on your location. The initial consultation process involves delving into your past and current injury and health, training history and background, movement assessment and tests specific to your injury, as well as goal and expectation setting. From here, a tailored rehabilitation program and management plan which may involve a number of sessions will be developed with you to improve your function, strength and get you back to riding.

Private Health Insurance Coverage
Private health insurance helps cover the cost of a healthcare treatment that the free public healthcare system does not. Exercise Physiology is covered via most private health insurance (PHI) funds however the amount will depend on the type and level of cover you have and your annual limit. Inquire with your private health insurance fund to check to see if your policy includes Exercise Physiology as an Allied health service covered under your policy. Some funds cover Telehealth Exercise Physiology services, some do not therefore it is always best to check. Private Health insurance can only be used for Exercise physiology services to treat and manage injury or rehabilitation, not performance coaching services.
Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plans
A chronic medical condition is one that has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer. Through the Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM, formerly EPC) you are entitled to up to 5 sessions partly funded by Medicare with a valid referral from your GP. Discuss this option for funding with your GP to gain referral to Exercise Physiology services.
